How to create a newspaper text effect

Choose readable words, coordinate newspaper layouts and soften the edges of your video.

Start with a short phrase

A name, place or brief statement gives viewers an anchor. Longer phrases need smaller type, so check the preview at phone size before exporting. Enter your words in the homepage input and generate a first version.

Compare the changing compositions

The renderer switches between enlarged body text, wide headlines and narrow quotations. Your phrase stays centered, while fonts, surrounding copy and cropping vary. Shuffle the sequence to try another combination. The page text is generated material, not a scan of a published article.

Balance the highlight and paper

Choose a highlight that remains distinct against the paper preset. Warm archive paper can suit memories; a pale background works for a cleaner editorial look. Check several frames, because the surrounding amount of ink changes between layouts.

Keep the outer blur subtle

Edge defocus leaves the center clear and softens the surrounding type. Reduce it if the pages lose their character, or increase it slightly if the background competes with the selected words.

Fit the sequence into your story

Use a short sequence as an introduction or chapter break. Choose portrait, square or landscape to match your project, then review the downloaded clip alongside your footage. Sound can be switched off if you plan to mix your own music.
